HDB Lively Places Fund
Encourages residents to initiate community-driven place-making projects that will help develop more vibrant and bonded communities.

Requirements:

Singaporean / Permanent Residents

Sign up as a individual/team is allowed with at least 1 applicant above 17 years old
-
Existing projects funded by other agencies are not eligible
-
Applicants whom have been awarded the fund already would need to finish the project before applying again
-
Does not support projects that are a copy of other existing projects

Young Changemakers Grant
Supports youth-initiated projects that benefit the Singapore community and society.

Requirements:

Singaporean/PR, residing in Singapore

15-35 years old

National Youth Fund
Supports youth-initiated projects that benefit the Singapore community and society. Also helps to empower youth as decision-makers to evaluate projects and mentor project applicants.

Requirements:

Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident (PR) youths residing locally between

15 and 35 years old.

Project team should comprise a majority of Singaporean or Singapore PR youths.

Management
Town Councils
-
Responsible for the day-to-day operations in managing the common property of HDB residential flats and commercial property within the town.

Control, manage, maintain and improve the common property of the residential and commercial properties within its town for the benefit of the residents and keep them in a state of good and serviceable condition.

Common property includes facilities in the housing estates built for common use by residents, such as linkways, gardens, lifts, corridors and void decks.

Residents' Committees
-
The Residents’ Committees (RCs) were introduced in 1978 to promote neighborliness, racial harmony, and community cohesiveness amongst residents within their respective RC zones in Housing and Development Board estates. Run by residents for residents, RCs also work closely with other grassroots organizations like the Citizens’ Consultative Committees and various government agencies to improve the physical environment and safety of their respective precincts.

The functions of RCs are to:

Promote neighborliness, harmony, and cohesiveness amongst residents;
-
Liaise with and make recommendations to government authorities on the needs and aspirations of residents;

Disseminate information and gather feedback on government policies and actions from residents; and
-
Promote good citizenship amongst residents.

Residents' Network
-
Set up in 2018 to promote greater social mixing between residents across all ages, races, and all estates.

RNs promote neighborliness, social cohesion and acts as a bridge between the people and the Government.

By working closely with the government agencies and community partners, RNs help residents know one another better, seek to understand local needs, concerns, and aspirations, as well as help communicate government messages.

The functions of the RNs are to:

To promote neighborliness, social cohesion among residents from the public and private housing estates of the Designated Zone;

To liaise with and make recommendations to governmental authorities on the needs and aspirations of residents of the Designated Zone;
-
To disseminate information and channel feedback on government policies and actions from residents of the Designated Zone; and
-
To promote good citizenship among residents of the Designated Zone.
